Dining
Delight in the flavours and aromas of Africa, dine under the thatched, open sided dining room with views over our sprawling lawns onto the lake or, for those who prefer their meals al fresco, we invite you to take a seat under leafy trees on the lawn. Table d’hote meals are created from a variety of attractive and international recipes. We will cater for vegetarians but would need to have prior notice.

Campers have a choice of dining in the dining room or cooking for themselves in the spacious A-Frame barbeque areas (known locally as 'braais') - we provide the firewood, you just need to bring your own food and light up.

In the evenings, an age old African tradition remains of socialising around the safari camp fire pit.

Refreshments
Cordials, tea, coffee, water and ice are available free of charge all day in the dinning room, at no extra charge.  Should you wish for something stronger feel free to bring your own liquor, no corkage will be charged.

Swimming pool
Cool off from the midday heat around the swimming pool with views over looking the lake.

The Weavery
A marketplace for local self-help craft workers. Wares such as handwoven mohair, cotton and wool rugs & linen produced by a group of ladies at a mission station near Gweru are for sale. If you would like a souvenir of your stay we have a variety of African Encounter merchandise to suit all tastes and pockets
